Leafcup is a weedy plant that almost chokes mountain trails in mid and late summer. It grows to 5 feet tall and has numerous white flowers with yellow centers. The leaves are deeply lobed. The flowers do supply bees with nectar. The name comes from the ability to roll the leaves into the form of a cup. Other Leafcup species are Bearsfoot Leafcup (Polymnia uvedalia) and large Flowered Leafcup ( Polymnia uvedalia) . Both of these species have yellow flowers.
